Course Outcome

The Advanced Diploma of Financial Planning will provide you with:

Professional Development

Graduates of the Advanced Diploma of Financial Planning will earn 52 CPD points from the AFA or 34.75 CPD points from the FPA.

Assessment for CPD points is undertaken via our online professional development portal, CPD Central. This value-added feature of the Advanced Diploma program allows you to undertake practice questions (that count towards CPD) prior to formal qualification assessment.

Prerequisite Knowledge

The Diploma of Financial Planning (FNS50610) or equivalent is required to be completed before a student can enrol into the Advanced Diploma.

DISTANCE LEARNING

Self-paced learning provides you:

WORKSHOP COURSE

Supplementing your distance learning study with face-to-face classroom courses is the fastest way to achieve your qualification.
Facilitator-led classroom courses provide you:

  • Six workshop days conducted over 4 x one and a half day sessions, with public courses scheduled in all major cities.
  • Professional facilitators skilled at making the workshop experience interactive by incorporating real life examples to your stimulate interest.
  • All learning resources provided, including hard-copy study material.

STRATEGY PLANNING WORKSHOP

With RG146’s strategy planning option, you can learn how leading financial practitioners construct a complex Financial Plan.
Attend a full-day facilitated Strategy Planning Workshop to support your distance learning study and you will:

  • Receive assistance to plan and prepare the assignment.
  • Understand the key concepts of the case study.
  • Learn how to develop the framework necessary to construct a complex SoA using the research techniques and recommended templates.
  • Taking the first steps towards turning your SoA into a client-winning marketing document.

Assessment

We have designed our assessment activities in line with best practice standards to help you deliver quality advice outcomes to your clients.
Assessment activities include examination, short answer tasks, assignments and the development and presentation of a complex Financial Plan.

To support your study, you will receive:

  1. Opportunity to do an online knowledge gap assessment, to recognise what areas you already know and identify what gaps exist to better target your study and reassessment requirements.
  2. Flexibility to undertake multiple-choice questions assessment online – wherever and whenever you like.
  3. Three attempts to pass each assessment.
  4. Ten months to complete the qualification (time extensions available upon application).
  5. Access to X-Plan if required to help you prepare the SoA (monthly license fee applicable).
  6. Access to telephone and email support when you need it.
